Thank you for looking at this web site as you can tell it’s a good thing we can hunt because we will never make it as a web designer, so please bear with us.

I have been in the hunting business for 40 years, starting out with my father (who is still in business) packing then onto guiding mostly for sheep, brown bear, grizzly and moose.

33 years ago I started on my own and have been at it ever since. Our first super cub was brought in to the business in 1985 and we still have this aircraft along with one more cub a maule and Cessna 182.

We hunt the Chugach Mountains in unit 13 and unit 14 for sheep and moose both are on a drawing permit. This area has been under a management program with a focus on quality of trophy with great successes. We have been taking some very nice sheep and moose. In 2011 sheep season we took three rams one 38 ½ heavy broomed  ram a 42 ½ incher with the third just over 43inches.

Sheep hunting clients are picked up in Anchorage and driven to the lodge area about 100 miles to the northeast. From the lodge all transportation is with our aircraft to the spike camps. Its not at all uncommon for the client to leave home in the morning and that night be in the field with sheep in sight.  

Brown bear area we have is in unit 9 on the Alaska Peninsula, the Chignik region. This is a great area and with one of the highest bears density in the world. What sets this area apart is the density of bear and the area is ours to hunt exclusively. The lands are private and federal refuge. Both have a great guide programs to limit the usage.

Brown bear clients need to take a flight to the Chignik area from Anchorage the flight leaves Anchorage at 7:00am with a change of aircraft in King Salmon then on to Chignik and our base of operations. This leg of the flight is operated by Peninsula Airways, this is a smaller airline with a lot of experience flying the Peninsula. We arrange your flight on this leg of the journey.   

We understand you will have a lot of choices when it comes to a sheep or brown bear hunt. We have a great product with a 100% opportunity for bear over 9 foot and sheep in the 40 inch range. We have good camps and assure a fair shake when it comes to your hunting trip.
